Visiting the British Museum years ago I was fascinated by a ring depicting the Roman deity Bonus Eventus, which means good fortune/outcome/success. As this god was associated with agriculture at one time, he is often shown with ears of corn.
They are incredibly rare (there’s a business opportunity here for someone…) and I was disappointed to find it hadn’t been replicated in their gift shop.
This ring is in the Thorvaldsen Museum in Denmark. They note it’s from between 30 and 200 BCE, made of gold with a likely glass intaglio showing the god.
