For many people, when they think of Tiffany today, they think of Elsa Peretti. Her association with the brand ran nearly 50 years and her designs became iconic. To wit, this open heart pendant which may be her best known piece for Tiffany (though that could be the bean…) I am lucky to have a few of her designs (the lacquered wooden and sterling silver cuff; a rock crystal flask with an amethyst and gold stopper that I picked up cheaply on Ebay because one of the crystal arms had broken and been glued back – I didn’t, and don’t care).

Farewell, Elsa. You will be missed.
