  1. There are no soldiers in this scene – I don’t know what Dover is about. The Wind god Zephyrus on the left (as facing) abducts the nymph Chloris – turning her into Flora as shown in the progressive figures. Venus presides and and the Three Graces dance. The flying figure is a putti or cupid.

    One of the world’s most famous paintings – found in the Uffzi.
