This was a gift with purchase item when Lancome’s fragrance Poeme was first released in 1995. I had no real interest in the perfume, though I really wanted this bracelet. But common sense overtook me – a rare and shocking event, believe me.
Some years later, I was in a vintage shop when I spied this bracelet in a sale tray – priced at all of $5. Needless to say, it came home with me, where it has resided happily ever since. Well, I can’t really speak for the bracelet, but I am very happy with it. It is solid and well made, the plating is thick and durable, and I love the “ancient artifact” look of the worn edges and holes carefully placed to look random. Definitely one of my favourite, most comfortable to wear cuff bracelets.

In about 1978, I bought some men’s cologne (Arimas?) just so I could get the gift-with-purchase of an umbrella that had a duck’s head as the handle. Didn’t have anyone to give the cologne to. Guess you have/had more common sense than I. But I love how you stumbled across the bracelet years later. Kismit.
I remember those umbrellas. A dear friend of mine always wore Aramis and I still love the fragrance!
Like some jewelry, some scents are classic, timeless and never go out of style.
For me, Aramis is one of them!
