Jewel of the day: Sarah Loertscher Diamond Facet Earrings for Of a Kind

I stumbled on Of a Kind a few months ago and am very glad I did. The website searches out niche personal and home accessory designers and commissions them to do a small run of a piece for them.  They are generally very affordable and unique, and provide an entree into some smaller designers who might otherwise go relatively unnoticed (though they also work with more established names).

These  sterling silver and diamond earrings by Sarah Loertscher are a case in point. Seattle-based, Loertscher made a limited edition of 40 of these , which Of a Kind describes this way: these are definitely the toughest diamond earrings on the block. How freaking major does the oxidized silver look with that sparkle poking through? The stone is in a different spot on each of the two studs, just adding to their badass allure. What to know: Handmade in Seattle; 100% recycled oxidized sterling silver with 2 conflict free tapered baguette diamonds; measure ⅜ inch by ⅜ inch.

There are still some available and they can be bought here.

    1. I like the high/low combo of these too. Especially that the settings aren’t sitting against the ear the way studs traditionally do.
