There is no doubt that the jewels and memorabilia being auctioned off Elizabeth Taylor’s estate will fetch way higher than estimated prices. It happens all the time when celebrities and historical personages’ items come to auction.
Many of Taylor’s spectacular jewels, several gifts from lovers and husbands, have been extensively documented, but I don’t recall ever seeing her wear this intriguing pearl, diamond and turquoise bib. This was designed by Taylor herself and is signed Elizabeth for House of Taylor. Pre-sale estimate is $10,000-$15,000 but I am betting the hammer price will be much higher.

Hi Ev. Saw it in person. I’d rather have it in costume. Every piece from The House of Taylor was hideous and gaudy. Probably why the company went bankrupt before her death. EXTENDER chains and lobster claw clasps on necklaces!! She had many beautiful jewels, but many that were vulgar and ostentatious. But of course they WILL go through the roof…just to own a piece of Liz’s magic.
