When you think of Japanese master designer Issey Miyake, ornamentation doesn’t (pardon the pun, given my pick for jewel of the day) spring to mind. So the way he accessorized his fall winter 2010 show was a pleasant surprise to someone like me, who feels an outfit isn’t complete without some jewellery. The springy forms work well with his clothes and I was happy to see some colourful necklaces on show as well.

I haven’t been able to locate it at online retailers. My guess is that shops carrying Miyake ready to wear may either offer it as part of the collection, or be able to order it. There is a possibility it was just made for the runway, however. If you find it, I’d love to know.
