This was my first piece of vintage Christian Dior jewellery. The earrings are articulated so they have a gentle sway when worn. They are a stunning mix of clear and canary rhinestones and hang about 2 inches long. Dated 1968 on the reverse. They have come up a few times on Ebay but I’ve never seen any matching pieces. I can only imagine how spectacular a matching necklace or bracelet would be.

This comment is in response to the #7 Sept 2009 post. My mom owns the necklace pictured and the earrings that match. We are trying to figure out what stones are in the setting and approximate value. Wow – that must be really something. I’ve always been curious to see if there were matching pieces and assumed there probably were. I can tell you the stones are rhinestone; not sure if Dior used Swarovski or Austrian crystal but they are high quality glass stones.
