Jewel of the day: Hermes Rivage Necklace

All manufacturers have a design vocabulary, but Hermes really likes to leverage theirs: straps to close bags; turnlock closures; repeated motifs like the chaine d’ancre. In this piece, the latter is what they’ve fallen back on, though they say it comes from one of the owners’ fascination with picking up beach pebbles.

The links here are made with horn, which Hermes uses frequently in their accessories. This piece sells for CAD$1,575.
