Having just returned from one of my favourite places, Barbados, this bracelet drew me. The well being of the sea turtle – hawksbill, green and leatherback – is taken seriously on the island, with tourists warned not to disturb beach nests or turtles and a rescue service that arrives promptly when hatchlings are found wandering away from the sea. It’s a great place to see this endangered species, whether snorkeling or just happening upon them on a beach, as we did after they were rescued by staff and awaiting pick up in a sandy bucket, which happened several times during our stay.
This bracelet is made by Texas artisan Elaine Coyne rendered in brass. It sells for USD$213.06. (I couldn’t find a currency option on the site so I am assuming it’s USD).
