I take a bit of issue with the name of this ring as it’s not exactly gold, but gold plated over sterling silver. Which is fine, but best to be precise, I’d think, when you’re talking about precious metals.

From 1610Istanbul, this rich looking ring is indeed plated sterling silver, set with cabochon sapphires.
