I always find it interesting what companies leave out of their descriptions. These earrings from Kendra Scott would make you think they are turquoise stones in the centre of the earrings – they describe it as “bronze veined turquoise magnesite red oyster”, which is actually a composite.

Bronze veined turquoise magnesite is a chalky white but when dyed, mimics turquoise well. Red oyster shells are crushed and mixed in. The blend is a custom mix for Kendra Scott’s jewelry.

I don’t have a problem with this but none of that was on the site, and it would be helpful for buyers who think they are getting natural turquoise. The metal is gold plated brass.
