Jewel of the day: Lisa Eldridge The Eva Oval Cut Amethyst Ring

Lisa Eldridge is best known as a working makeup artist and founder of her own eponymous makeup line. But before she launched makeup, she created a line of jewellery, in gold and sterling silver set with semi-precious stones.

For this blog, I did a “10 Questions With” interview with William Welstead, who worked with Lisa to design this collection. You can find more on that here, including a link to the interview.

This ring is, in her words, “a stunningly radiant purple amethyst. This stone is an extraordinary violet variety of quartz in a striking cardinal purple hue. Its oval cut measuring 10mm x 8mm brings out its unique tones and natural variations. Set in 18 carat gold with an open back to reflect and refract the light. The stone is approximately 2.00 carats in weight.

This ring is also available in sterling silver.”

In gold this is priced at £1,100.
