Lily of the valley is my favourite flower and a welcome presence in spring when it blankets my front garden. Dior has used it in its iconic fragrance Diorissimo. Interestingly, I did not know that you cannot extract the fragrance from these flowers, as the oil smells nothing like the flower. So the scent is created artificially.

Also interesting to note that Dior placed this brooch in its men’s collection, as shown below. It is made with silver toned brass, set with freshwater grey and white pearls. There appear to be crystals as well, but that isn’t mentioned in the description.
