For years, J. Crew was a reliable spot for rhinestone encrusted, oversized statement necklaces. Times change and clearly, pared down and corporate is the new glitter. (I have not gotten this memo, just saying.) There is hardly a crystal to be found in their jewelry selection, but a lot of plain gold (plated) items.

Here, a chunky chain necklace, definitely a current trend. The description says it is gold-plated zinc, and notes there is cubic zirconia, but I think they are just taunting me. If you spot it, let me know, as I can’t see it.
