Though I have no issue with skulls or memento more jewelry, the Alexander McQueen skull obsession has always seemed sad to me, given his death by suicide. I wonder if the skulls for him were a representation of his depression and desperation, or if it was merely a symbol that resonated with him artistically.
This ring is of course not designed by him, but carries through with his design aesthetic. It’s made in antique gold-tone and silver-tone brass and features Swarovski crystal-cut detailing, carved detailing, and black faux pearls.
This sells for USD$360.
