The way the baguettes are used in this 1930s diamond engagement ring – two stacked on each other – is quite unique. Baguettes are usually singly set, horizontally, to provide an accent to the sides of a centre stone. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a vintage piece set them one on top of the other like this.
The ring is offered by Etsy seller Revival Fine Jewelry. The centre stone is .78 of a carat and set in palladium and sterling silver (though the hallmark says platinum). It’s sized at 7-1/4 and currently on sale for 40% off at USD$1,979.34.
