Alexander Wang didn’t stay too long as design director at Balenciaga and I don’t recall ever seeing any of his own accessories for that label. He seemed to pretty much push on with the designs they were already doing (at least in bags). But he never gave up his own collections so going back to his own name probably wasn’t much of a disruption. However, this represents part of his first jewellery line.
Here, a metal bracelet with a lock end, which is kind of cute. No key required; it slips on and off the wrist. This is available from Net-A-Porter, which explains, “Alexander Wang’s debut jewelry line takes inspiration from the industrial chain embellishments that define his Spring ’16 runway collection. Designed with a gold-plated padlock, this silver-tone bracelet is polished for a high shine. Wear yours with off-duty looks.”
