I don’t know who is designing accessories for the Alexander McQueen label, though I have to say I’m happy not to be seeing skulls. All. The. Time. Aside from being a fairly played out McQueen motif, it’s also kind of horrible considering the state of mind he was in when he was designing those, and his suicide.
But … jewels. And koi. Happy! This necklace is made of gold-lated brass, with the bodies of the fish rendered in clear glass, and encrusted with Swarovski crystals. It is hinged at the back. It sells for USD $2,395 at Net-A-Porter.

Although to me, it looks terribly uncomfortable to wear, design-wise, it reminds me of the Maria Felix fabulous Cartier lizard/alligator/crocodile necklaces she owned. It takes a special woman to carry this off, and on the right person it is probably spectacular. Not for everyone, but certainly a showstopper.
