Malachite is one of those semi-precious stones whose striations become part of the design itself – lighter, darker, striped. This striking necklace, available at Dallas’s Stanley Korshak (and online) is by Nest Jewelry.
It features different sizes and shapes of malachite stones. Although the centre stone is set in “gold” as per the website, no indication of what that means, exactly. It measures 22 inches long, and closes with a lobster clasp in gold coloured metal. It sells for USD $495.

Here I think the stone interest is more effective than the design. Sometimes that’s good when you have such a lovely material… The metal would not be gold-gold at this price, of course, as you suggested. This does not look like Stanley Korshak caliber, imho.
