Every once in a while I come across something that is just so out there that you can’t help but love it. I don’t know if that means you would actually wear it, but props to the designer for coming up with it.
To wit, this headpiece, dubbed the Flamingo (sure, why not?) by Halaby, and specially made for online retailer LuisaViaRoma. I mean … it’s just fantastically over the top. Made with Swarovski crystals in base metal, it sells for USD $9690. Dancing may be out of the question while wearing it, but really, flamingos are known more for their ornamental qualities anyhow.

It’s lovely. It reminds me of something that an Indian bride would wear. it would be a great piece for the wedding ceremony, but yeah, it might be a bit difficult to dance in, especially since I swing dance! 🙂 And just off hand, for $10000 I want real gold, at least.
No kidding about the price. I love me some rhinestones but ten grand could buy you a whole lot more of them.
