Jewel of the day: Harry Winston Mrs. Winston Sapphire and Diamond Bracelet

One of my oft-repeated pet peeves about jewellery web sites is that there is little or no information about the items on display. It’s as though the pieces themselves are meant to inspire enough awe that you will be completely unconcerned with pedestrian matters like materials and, oh … price.

Such is the case with Harry Winston’s “The Incredibles” pieces. They are a lavish and drool-worthy collection of spectacular gems. A bit like pressing your nose up against the bullet-proof glass because all you have to go on is the photo.

So feast your eyes on this rather yummy sapphire and diamond bracelet, Dubbed, perhaps fittingly, Mrs. Winston Sapphire and Diamond Bracelet. And remember: details are for peasants.

  1. It is Winston’s so it is likely sapphires and diamonds set in platinum and probably sells for 6 figures.

How different would it look in clear and coloured zircons set in rhodium plated sterling for $159 at the XYZ store in the Generic Mall?

  2. I’m a big fan of cubic, crystal, “fake”, what have you. I doubt, if well made, that it would look much different at all. I’m sure plenty of people who could easily afford it wear CZ all the time. Why not?
