Trollbeads periodically offers kits with an assortment of beads. This year they have two Christmas themes, Australia and Hawaii. Typically, the charm of Trollbeads is that you create your own bracelet with individual glass or sterling beads. Everything is customizable, from the chain to the clasp and of course, the order in which you place the beads. There are also gold versions available but predictably, these are a lot more expensive. The kits are a nice way to get a grouping of themed beads all at once and are usually limited edition.

What’s nice about the system is that it’s a great way to give a gift of jewelry without making a huge initial investment and beads can be tied to special occasions.  Trollbeads recently branched out into rings and earrings, and they also offer necklaces.

Trollbeads, based in Denmark,  is widely sold around the world (though it would be nice to see more retailers in Canada, where competitor Pandora seems to be more popular), as well as being available online.
