I came across a rutillated quartz necklace in a Houston resale shop by a designer I’d never heard of, Dina Mackney. The beauty of the piece left me wanting to discover more. I located Washington-based Mackney’s site, and found wonderful silver vermeil and plated pieces set with semi-precious stones, like these featuring citrine and Mexican fire opals. Both are set in 14k gold, which warmly accents the golden nature of the stones.
