Jewel of the day: Coreterno “Omnia Vincit Amor” Ring

Last year, I wrote about a gold ring with a different saying offered by this company. Given the stratospheric price of gold, good news – their designs are also offered in sterling silver.

Coreterno also offers this ring, with its saying from Virgi. “OMNIA VINCIT AMOR“ (Love Conquers All), is a Latin phrase originating from Eclogue X by the esteemed poet Virgil in 70 B.C. This evocative expression is also the title of one of the most renowned paintings by Caravaggio. It encapsulates the eternal power of love to triumph over all obstacles. The inside of the ring is adorned with the profound words AMOR HA FATTO TAL CH’IO VIVO IN FOCO(Love Has Made Me So I Burn In Fire). Translated from the poetic language of Gaspara Stampa, one of Italy’s greatest female poets from the 16th century, this powerful line ignites the flames of passion and encapsulates the intensity of love’s embrace.”

In silver it sells for  175,00 195,00 (presumably based on sizing) and in gold, it’s  2.000,00 – 2.450,00.
