Jewelry and accessories from American brand Brighton are really popular. I’ve been into the stores but have never purchased. I always believed everything was sterling silver, but apparently most things are zinc plated brass, with some sterling silver.

This necklace, a collaboration between the brand and Maricela Paladins. has two tone metal – but they don’t tell you what the metal actually is. Which I find frustrating. It sells for USD$138, a not insubstantial sum for brass. They describe it as having mixed metals, but don’t specify. There’s nothing wrong with base metals but wouldn’t you like to make an informed purchase decision?
