There’s often a lot of embellished writing when it comes to jewellery descriptions, but it would be fair of vendors to indicate exactly what materials they use. I’m not opposed to lab created stones or gold plate. I just want to know what I’m buying.
This ring from APM Monaco is described in such a way that you don’t really know what you are going to get: This ring is made with APM yellow alloy and 18k gold plated. It is microset with white cubic zirconia and adorned with turquoise colored stone.
What is yellow alloy? What was the stone created with? Too picky?
I often bypass writing about jewellery that has this kind of vague description but it’s becoming a lot more common. I think for something that sells for €125 you should know exactly what you are buying. But that’s just me….
