I do love my costume jewellery but I raise an eyebrow at companies being shifty with the description of their materials.

This ring by Melinda Maria is made with gold plated brass. So far, so good. But they describe the stones as both “diamondettes” and “simulated diamonds.” Never heard of the former, and the latter could be anything from glass to moissanite and a bunch of other options that are not diamond. For USD$96, I’d want to know which stones I’m actually getting. It seems a fair thing to want to know…
