Jewel of the day: Kenneth Jay Lane Black and Jace Pendant Necklace

I will admit to having been surprised when I looked through the current Kenneth Jay Lane offerings. In his heyday (he passed in 2017), Lane was known for his elaborate designs reminiscent of fine jewelry. Jackie Onassis was known for having had one of his pieces, especially a triple strand of glass pearls and a Moghul inspired line as well. These days, the designs are, well, a lot more pared back.

This necklace (described only as black and jade beaded silver necklace) is one of the closest to his more well known designs. I am assuming everything is glass (or possibly white jade that has been heat treated) given the USD$270 price.
