When I started collecting vintage costume jewelry many years ago, I passed by beads. I thought they looked old fashioned and dubbed them grandma beads. I’ve since come to really appreciate that artistry that frequently goes into their manufacture.
This necklace by Her New Tribe features artisanal ceramic beads “formed, fired and assembled by hand in Austin, Texas.”
There are other colour ways for this piece, so if these aren’t your thing, others may be. The beads are strung on thick braided cord.
This sells for USD$348.
