Jewel of the day: Genevieve Howard Ambient Forces Bracelet

Contemporary jewelry is often made with materials we don’t traditionally associate with the art. However, her inspiration is truly unique. Here, Genevieve Howard has used laser cut paper on cord. It’s noted, “Genevieve translates pieces of music into tactile and wearable forms. She makes musical sculptures using new technologies such as laser cutting combined with traditional handmade and metalwork techniques.

This bracelet is derived from the score of Mason Bates’, The (R)evolution of Steve Jobs, for the Santa Fe Opera’s 61st season.”

This piece sells for USD$745.
