Jewel of the day: Alan Anderson Peridot Open Feather Necklace

Having tried on this runway piece by Alan Anderson, I can personally attest to its splendidness. Fresh off the runaway at Toronto Fashion week 2019, Anderson’s new website explains, “Alan describes this as the most complicated necklace he has ever built. This sensational necklace is the Alan Anderson jewellery version of a green Ostrich feather boa. Again we have a piece of jewellery that falls into the sculpture category. As you can see on our model, the necklace curves and flows just as real feathers would and it appears light and airy. We haven’t done a count but there is obviously an enormous number of stones in this necklace. Five shades of green stones are featured; the rarest being the Crystelo shaded navettes from the 1960s. It is safe to say that this necklace is one of a kind and will always be one of Alan’s rarest pieces.”

This unique piece sells for USD$4,600.
