Yup. I still love opals. This pretty necklace by Irene Neuwirth features a heart shaped stone as a pendant.
It appears to be fairly substantial/large in size, but no weight or dimension is noted. This is placed on a 16-inch 18k yellow gold chain and in that same setting.
It sells for US$17,720.

That doesn’t look like a $17k opal to me. Maybe just bad camera angle.
It’s not in my budget, that’s for sure. It’s also very hard to tell the actual size/weight of the opal. I have a heart pendant that is probably Victorian, surrounded by small diamonds, and I think it might now be worth about $5k (given that I paid about $1500 for it nearly 25 years ago).
