Safety pins were the ultimate punk rejection of traditional adornment. So it’s kind of amusing to see them rendered as pierced earrings (as in, with a post, and not having the “pin” of the safety pin go through the piercing) and also in gold and diamonds. Punk lite? Or is that an oxymoron…
