Horn has much of the allure of the now no longer used (fortunately) tortoiseshell. Horn can be ethically harvested without harming the animal, as this piece shows.
From Moda Operandi, they explain, “Ashley Pittman‘s ‘Safu’ necklace has been handcrafted in Kenya from sustainably-sourced horn indigenous to East Africa. The one-of-a-kind links are arranged in a chunky chain and feature the label’s bronze charm at the clasp. Show off this oversized statement piece with plunging necklines.”
This sells for USD$895.
