This necklace gives off a definite Wilma Flintstone vibe. Made with oversized porcelain beads etched with blue, it’s the choker to end all chokers. Interestingly, I have a similar necklace made with Chinese porcelain beads, not quite as big, and strung to hang lower on the neck.
Barneys (the vendor), notes, “Made of polished yellow-gold-filled metal, Beck Jewels’ Blauw necklace consists of oversized white glazed porcelain beads detailed with blue flowers. Securing with a polished yellow-gold-filled metal hook-and-eye clasp, this bold style is handcrafted by designer and founder, Rebecca Zeijdel-Paz, in her Brooklyn-based studio.”
This sells for USD$500 and is available for pre-order now.
