I have and have worn a variety of different types of costume jewelry, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen pieces made of painted plaster. However, I think it is kind of a cool thing to do. Offered by Vintage And Handmade Jewellery, the description says, “This Edwardian brooch is made from a plaster material, molded and painted with a gold and blue enamel. Has a historical reproduction cross work patterning and raised oval designs. Oval shaped of about 38 x 30 mm or 1 1/2 inches. It dates to the early twentieth century era. Condition is very good with just a little loss to the blue enamel.Under style continental fastening in a silver metal to the back which has a little patination.”
It is priced at £22.
