Jewel of the day: Megan Markle’s Engagement Ring

As the entire world knows by now, actress Megan Markle will be marrying Prince Harry in May of this year. He proposed with a ring with what appears to be a large cushion cut stone (estimates range from three to five karats) flanked by two smaller stones said to come from Princess Diana.

Time Magazine estimates that the price could have been anywhere from $200,000-$350,000 though the ring’s value is incalculable given the royal provenance and soon to be royal recipient.

Congrats to the pair; looking forward to the pageantry to liven up 2018.
