Happy new year! And what better way to welcome 2018 than with a diamond tiara? This one is by Chaumet and they say they have made over 2000 tiaras in the house’s history. This one is noted as being created in platinum and white gold, set with diamonds and a cabochon-cut white opal from Ethiopia of 21.14 carats.

Lovely. So many tiaras in the world and yet none belong to me. How unfair is that! 😀 I note the description says there is a 21 carat opal but I don’t see an opal anywhere. It looks to be all diamond to me.
I wondered about the opal too, as it’s one of my favourite stones. I didn’t see it either.
