This is one from my own collection; I love antique and vintage silver and paste pieces. Figurals like this one are a bit harder to come by, though I’ve also seen and acquired several lizards – very popular, for some reason.

My favourite feature is the tiny enamelled red tongue. It’s made of 935 silver and has (I think) the mark JOF; I haven’t been able to find to whom that might belong but 935 was typically German or Austrian. The pin is small but mighty and looks just like my Wheaten Terrier.
