1st Dibs seller De Maria says this is an eagle, but I’m not so certain. Regardless, I love the enamel feathers and fierce head butt of this lovely avian brooch. It’s scented with black dotted white enamel, and the eye is set with a faceted ruby. The seller notes, “Marked on the back “TA76″ The clasp is a pin with a security clip. Origin Italy, circa 1970/80.”

Well, I love the bro’s but is it worth $3300? I don’t know what the marking is but it better be solid gold at that price. It’s barely vintage. Nonetheless, beautiful brooch.
