I have an old set of sterling silver dog tags made by Alex and Ani, an AIDS fundraiser from the 1980s. I was surprised to see the brand name pop up and become very popular in the last couple of years. Also surprised to see they no longer appear to offer sterling silver (which, let’s face it, is not a vastly expensive material) but instead something they describe as “Rafaelain Silver Finish.” I am assuming this means silver plated.
