I come to finding jewelry by relatively weird means. I subscribe to the Blackwing pencil limited edition series (yes, really – because real wooden pencils are awesome) and their latest edition, just released, is an homage to John Muir, California naturalist and founder of the Sierra Club. (The pencils are cedar and come with a small cedar piece engraved with information about Muir.) Muir was also instrumental in the founding of Yosemite National Park.
