The marquise is one of the diamond shapes that seems to have fallen out of favour in lieu of the round cut, halo set solitaire. But along with the pear, I have always liked the marquise shape. It has a don’t mess with me, sharp elegance that is very no nonsense.
The GIA graded centre diamond on this ring is a healthy 4.19 carats with a lovely E color, VS2 clarity, flanked by sapphires weighing 4.70 carats total, set in platinum. It’s a size 10 (I am imagining its former no-nonsense owner now…) Asking price is USD $$149,999 from Dover Jewelery.
