Prince Carl Philip married Sofia Hellqvist on June 12, and atop her head was an emerald and diamond tiara that was a gift from her new in-laws, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia. It’s modest by Swedish standards (her new mother-in-law has some pretty impressive bling), somewhat reminiscent of the Chrysler Building with it’s domes set with diamonds, topped with pear shaped emeralds. Kind of a shame they weren’t enough to distract form the bride’s sun shaped tattoo at the base of her neck, which she opted not to cover up.
