Ralph Lauren made his name on the gentrified cowgirl/cowboy look, and urban stylized preppie. So I’m a bit surprised to see that so much of his current jewellery features crystals, and rather large and uncowgirl ones at that.

But you know me (and if you don’t, here it comes): sparkle is wonderful, bigger is better.

This necklace is made of graduated emerald cut multicolour Swarovski stones. Lauren shows it with long earrings (a bit of a miss for me – let one statement piece do that talking, I think) worn with a very business like shirt. That I can get behind.
