I think jewellery is meant to be worn, which is one of the reasons I find museum collections kind of sad. I enjoy seeing antique and ancient pieces, but it’s a shame they will forever more be behind glass and unworn.
What’s nice about this diamond and gold bracelet by Simon Sturt-Bray of Australia is that although it is a substantial piece, it is also one that would be easy to incorporate as an everyday accessory. It is made of 18 ct yellow and white gold, with a total weight of 6.17 ct diamonds of SI quality. It can be made in all white gold as well.
It sells for AUD$23,000.
