Because I can think of no other reason for that egregious pink organza rose thing on her shoulder. And the one sleeve thing. It’s not edgy.
Points for the earrings (I’m thinking they are Stephen Webster but don’t know for sure); points deducted for the flower doily, pageant queen wannabe look.

You are so funny! And mile-long, stretched out ear lobes are uber foxy. She looks like she is trying to recreate her pink Oscar dress the year she won.
That pink dress was actually gorgeous on her … and she is usually really spot on with her clothes. Don’t know what possessed her (a 50s prom queen, perhaps?) to put this thing on.
