The tusk has probably been worn as adornment from primeval times. I usually see it pointed straight down, so it’s interesting to see the curved form being used as part of the necklace itself.
Here, Melanie Auld reworks the tusk in gold plated metal set with micro pave CZ stones. It looks cool and contemporary. One additional thought: nice to see photos of the item being worn in a few different ways (here is one photo from Auld’s site), as her styling is interesting and shows the necklace in a way I wouldn’t have thought to pair or wear it.
