Yes indeed, this large and bold rhinestone necklace by Tom Binns has added colour courtesy of neon paint dropped onto it. In fact, if you look closely, you will see that the paint is providing all the colour on this piece, whose stones are strictly black (jet) crystals.
At first I thought, hmmmm … way to wreck a necklace. But on second glance, I quite like it. It’s a witty take on multicolour bling, and fairly original. I wouldn’t spend the asking price of USD $2,425 for it, but that’s just me, because I have way more than what is normal in the amount of blingy things, and live with two talented artistic types who would be only too happy to take a paint pot or two to them.
